Teaching Faculty

Dr. Diana Azavedo Wardle, Diana is the lead teacher trainer with nearly two decades of teaching experience in Dubai, Bali, and India. She holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Yoga, Master’s degree in the Science of Yoga. She is also an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and a continuing education provider. Her passion is to make yoga socially relevant in today’s fast paced lifestyle by blending ancient tradition and wisdom with modern living.

Harinam, Harinam is a devoted Bhakti Yogi and founder of Kirtan Dubai, bringing the transformative power of musical mantra meditation to the UAE and beyond for over two decades. Known for his soul-stirring Kirtans and insightful talks, he shares the deeper philosophy of Yoga through seminars like “Etymology of Yoga” and “Stories of the Asanas.”
Regularly invited to lead Kirtans and speak at yoga festivals and events worldwide, including Rishikesh, Bahrain, Jordan, Australia, and across Europe & the Far East, Harinaam’s work is rooted in the belief that Kirtan is the Yoga of Music—a practice that invokes divine energy, bringing joy, peace, and deeper connection to the heart.

Emilie Mikulla, Emilie is a distinguished expert in the movement industry, known for her profound passion for anatomy and her extensive expertise in both pilates and yoga. Her unique blend of skills makes her an invaluable asset to our yoga teacher training programs in Dubai. Emilie’s deep understanding of functional and structural anatomy allows her to offer a nuanced perspective on how the human body operates and how it is intricately connected to movement.

Upon successful completion of the training program, you will receive an internationally recognized certificate of 200 hour yoga teacher training (RTY200).
1. Introduction to Yoga
- Explore yoga’s history, styles (Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Kundalini), and philosophy.
- Study the Yoga Sutras and the 8 Limbs of Yoga (Ashtanga).
- Understand yoga as a spiritual and lifestyle practice.
2. Anatomy & Physiology
- Learn human anatomy basics, including key muscles, bones, and systems involved in yoga.
- Gain a functional understanding of anatomy to ensure safe and effective practice.
- Understand how pranayama affects the body and supports overall well-being.
3. Asana Practice
- Master alignment, variations, and modifications for key poses.
- Learn adjustments and alignment techniques, both hands-on and verbal.
- Build confidence in sequencing and creating balanced, flow-based classes.
4. Pranayama (Breathing Techniques)
- Dive into various breathing techniques (Ujjayi, Kapalbhati, Nadi Shodhana, etc.).
- Understand the science of breath and its integration with movement.
- Explore pranayama’s profound effect on the nervous system and mental clarity.
5. Meditation & Mindfulness
- Cultivate mindfulness and awareness in your personal practice.
- Learn the practice of Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation).
- Develop your own meditation practice to bring peace and focus.
6. Yoga Philosophy & Ethics
- Deepen your understanding of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
- Study the moral and ethical precepts (Yamas & Niyamas).
- Explore yoga’s role in modern society and its impact on mental, emotional, and physical health.
7. Teaching Methodology
- Learn how to teach with clear, concise language and adjust for different levels of students.

13. Assessment & Certification
- Complete a written and practical exam.

14. Basics of Kirtan Course with Harinaam
- This introductory Kirtan course is designed for beginners who wish to explore the art of Kirtan & mantra chanting.
- Over four interactive sessions, participants will learn fundamental techniques to develop confidence in leading and participating in Kirtan.
Session 1: Foundations of Kirtan
- Understanding the significance of Kirtan
- Introduction to key mantras and melodies
- Basic vocal techniques and breath control
Session 2: Harmonium & Rhythm Basics
- Learning simple harmonium chords
- Introduction to basic rhythm patterns (kartals/cymbals)
- Call-and-response singing practice
Session 3: Leading a Kirtan
- Developing confidence in voice projection
- Creating smooth transitions between melodies
- Understanding the role of bhava (devotional expression)
